Showcasing the beautiful Atherton Tablelands, this two-day event will combine two very different golf courses, creating a challenging experience in FNQ’s finest locations!

4BBB Stableford – Medley (Teams of 2)

Played in memory of Raymond Johnson, the 2024 Social Series is proudly presented by Explore Golf FNQ in partnership with J&R Refrigeration and Reef Print & Design.

After Raymond’s sudden passing in September of 2022, we committed to honouring Raymond and his passion for the game of golf. Raymond suffered an unexpected and ultimately life ending heart failure, leaving behind a very loving family and a great reach of friends and acquaintances. Along with introducing the Raymond Johnson Memorial Trophy we have supported Ray’s family to raise both awareness and funds for the heart foundation in hope that fewer families will be devastated by such a loss.

Our Social Series concept is extremely simple, easy to follow and enjoyable to play. The series is open to players at all levels, from competitive golfers to everyday social golfers. With events hosted monthly, it encourages the competitors to play on a regular basis, without affecting their lifestyle or commitments. We offer the opportunity to meet new people, play a variety of courses and experience the edge of competition golf.

Format

Series events are played as single Stableford for daily prizes, with competitors also accumulating Order of Merit (OOM) points towards the overall series by placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or participation at each event.

OOM Points Allocation: 1st = 20pts, 2nd = 15pts, 3rd = 10pts & Participation = 5pts.

Prizes

Daily Prizes: $1200+

Overall Series Winner (OOM): TaylorMade products up to the value of $5000, supplied by Drummond Golf Cairns.

Overall Series Runner-up (OOM): TaylorMade cart bag, supplied by Drummond Golf Cairns.

Registration

To be eligible to accumulate Order of Merit points towards overall prizes, a once-off $50 registration fee is required.

Location

Events are hosted at a range of courses from Gordonvale to Mossman, including the Atherton Tablelands and Port Douglas.

Events

The series will host 8 rounds over 8 months, played on Sundays starting in March and running through to the final in October.
